Marketing & ‘Mom’ing.

Hi, I’m Mikki!

As soon as I was old enough to start considering what my college years looked like and what I wanted to specialize in, I knew it was MARKETING related. Fast forward 22 years later, I often look back and reflect on graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management (majoring in Marketing Communications) and all of the marketing roles I have been fortunate enough to play over the years.

Fresh out of University, I was given an opportunity to work for a local marketing agency that had powerful knowledge in TRADITIONAL MARKETING. This experience not only shaped me as a professional member of my local community but it also guided me into the role of creating an entire marketing department for a well established Canadian company. In late 2007, Facebook was becoming “the hype” for people to connect with friends on a personal level. Quicky, this online platform for networking grew into a whole new world for small businesses.

As social media grew, so did search engines and websites and blogs and on it continued into this new age of DIGITAL MARKETING. It is safe to say that marketing, as a whole, changes each day. You either learn and educate as you go, or you fall off the wagon - instantly!

In 2018, I became a mother and took a hiatus from my marketing world for a few years. I struggled getting back into the groove because of how drastic this industry had changed while I was away. The pandemic lit a spark under my ass and got me back in the game so much that I’ve never had such an incredible passion for this industry as I do now.

I’m fortunate to have the knowledge of TRADITIONAL MARKETING and I’m driven to adapt with the new age of DIGITAL MARKETING. Today, I run a small business that caters to and focuses on the custom marketing needs of my clients - whatever that may look like for each individual. I don’t believe in a “Cookie Cutter” approach. I’m intuitive and have learned over the years that media works in different ways for each business and each industry.
